| The Pleasant Valley Fire District would like to share an important and meaningful training opportunity coming to our area. We strongly encourage all First Responders to consider attending.
We are hosting Death Communication for First Responders, a powerful, evidence-based program focused on one of the most difficult aspects of our job—communicating with families after a death and supporting survivors during those first critical moments.
This topic lies at the intersection of mental health, moral injury, and the human side of emergency response. It’s an area that is often overlooked, yet essential to the well-being of both responders and the communities we serve.
The program will be led by Dr. Alex Jabr (PhD, EMT-P), who is nationally recognized for her work in this field. Her approach is practical, compassionate, and directly applicable to Fire, EMS, and Law Enforcement professionals.
Don’t miss this opportunity to gain valuable skills that will make a lasting impact both on the job and beyond.
