| The Pleasant Valley Fire District expresses its condolences to the family, friends, and members of the Walnuttown Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company in Pennsylvania after their tragic loss.
Our district joins them in mourning the passing of Fire Chief Jeffory L. Buck and Assistant Fire Chief Robert R. Shick Jr., who died in the line of duty.
Chief Buck and Assistant Chief Shick were operating a utility vehicle during a search for a missing woman when they were involved in a head-on collision with another vehicle.
Their commitment to serving their community and willingness to respond, even in challenging situations, demonstrate the highest standards of the fire service.
Our district’s thoughts and prayers are with their families, their department, and everyone affected by this tragedy.
