The Pleasant Valley Day 2024 Committee recently announced their Grand Marshall for the 2024 Pleasant Valley Day Parade.

Pleasant Valley Fire District's own....Fire Commissioner Eileen (Ginny) Johnson

Ginny has been a Pleasant Valley resident since 1955. A member of the Pleasant Valley Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary for 68 years and Pleasant Valley Fire District Fire Commissioner for 18 years.

She has been an active parishioner of St. Pauls Episcopal Church for decades and has served on the vestry, been the coordinator of the Thrift Shop and is currently the Assistant Treasurer.

Ginny joined the Grange (Pleasant Valley) in the 1950’s and she remains active on the both the state and local levels. She has received seven degrees from the Grange and has held New York State Grange officer positions. She also managed the Grange Family Snack Bar at the Dutchess County Fair for 15 years.

Ginny has worked tirelessly and with great passion for all that is important in this community we call home and still continues to do so.

Many many people are honored to call Ginny their friend. To know her is to love her.

The members of the Pleasant Valley Fire district will be proud to march behind as Ginny will lead the Pleasant Valley Day Parade.
