Special thanks to the Town of Pleasant Valley Highway Department Superintendent, John Baxter and his team, for revitalizing the dam in Salt Point. This vital resource is the most reliable firefighting water source in the Salt Point hamlet.

They worked to widen and pave the entrance (with the assistance of NYSDOT) to make easier and safer for fire vehicles to access the dam to draft water in case of a fire.
