Trees For Troops - Another "Tree-mendous" Success |
November 30, 2024 | |
On a very cold morning, with the help of Hahn Farm, Williams Lumber, everyone who donated, and of course the best load crew ever, we made history this today as the Hudson Valley Trees For Troops program loaded a record 850 Christmas Trees. Members of the public, many local fire companies, a few of our youngest future PVFD members, Uncle Mike and Tina from WRWD, Tom Hahn from Hahn Farm, Kim Williams from Williams Lumber and of course the many members of The Pleasant Valley Fire District all showed up in force to help load trees. Salt Point Fire Company President Jeff Cady said "I am so proud to be a part of this great project and can’t wait to see what next year brings. Next year we are going to start a new twist to fundraising and we will be accepting donations all year in hopes to maybe get to 1,000 trees. We can do it, but we will need everyone’s help. Thank you to everyone who had helped this past year and Merry Christmas." |
