Congratulations to Firefighters Rebecca Callaghan and Kelsie Nau on completing their firefighting probationary period with the Pleasant Valley Fire District.

Rebecca Callaghan joined the department in March she completed her NYS Basic Exterior Firefighter Operations (BEFO) class and is rapidly moving forward with her goal to be an interior firefighter and driver.

Kelsie Nau joined the department in February and in that short time has not only has completed her Basic Exterior Firefighter Operations class (BEFO) but she also graduated from the NYS EMT class and is Pleasant Valley Fire District newest New York State certified Emergency Medical Technician.

Engine Captain Ken Wallace did the traditional helmet shield swap last night at Station #1.
