Firefighter Chase Russell Presents Law Enforcement Medal Of Honor

January 12, 2024

Pleasant Valley Fire District Firefighter Chase Russell had the honor of representing the Law Enforcement Medal of Honor committee in presenting the medal to the East Fishkill PD, in honor or Sergeant Daniel DiDato, who passed away earlier in the month.

The group, which was founded in 2014, creates customized medals that are presented to fallen first responders family and their department as a remembrance of their loved one.

Each medal is custom made for the fallen responder and includes a pin, nameplate, and the medal itself, which comes displayed in a beautiful case. It also includes a cover letter for the family to read.

For every line of duty death nationwide, a medal is created to give to the fallen responders department and family as a memory.

Great job Firefighter Russell!
